Christine O’Brien is a visual artist whose contemporary, abstract works are inspired by the textures and patterns found in nature. She combines in varying degrees photography and digital painting, along with acrylics, mixed media painting, collage, and digital technology to create final layered compositions in mixed media or digital form. She brings her diverse artistic skill set together to produce paintings, prints, and fine art contemporary design with the goal of creating art that takes one away, to imagine being in touch with the earth – moving through grass, watching rustling leaves, gazing on a landscape – simple things the soul can enjoy. And a place to hear one’s own voice.
